The Page Pounders are a group of guys in their 30s who figured out the only reliable way to actually finish a book is to let your friends guilt you into it. We meet monthly to vote on our next read (fantasy epics, sci-fi doorstoppers, and the occasional piece of fiction that makes you question your grip on reality), then show up a few weeks later with cold drinks and very strong opinions. The whole point is to read books you'd never pick yourself and force your friends to read the ones you would.
